Lambe & Toronto FC Draw With New England

August 31, 2013

Bermuda’s Reggie Lambe and Toronto FC ended with a draw last night [Aug 30], as a very early goal by New England Revolution was cancelled out by a late first-half equalizer by Toronto as two Eastern Conference sides battled to a 1-1 draw on a rainy evening in Toronto.

Toronto appeared to have scored the winning goal in the 88th minute but Steven Caldwell’s header into the top left corner of the Revolution net was called off by the referee due to what he said was a push by the TFC captain.

Reggie Lambe started the match, and was substituted in the 87th minute for Alvaro Rey. Toronto returns to action on Saturday, September 7th against the Portland Timbers.
