Shadow Minister’s Back To School Message

September 6, 2013

Schools across the island are opening their doors to welcome students and faculty in for the start of the upcoming school year with the public schools getting started today [Sept 6].

Shadow Education Minister Walton Brown said, “I would like to wish all students in Bermuda a productive and successful school year. There will no doubt be a series of both opportunities and challenges along the way and I encourage each of you to seize those opportunities and work to minimize those challenges.

“To parents, continue to encourage your child to succeed. Success is defined in a multitude of ways and your child should be provided with the environment to work toward their goals.

“To teachers, you know it is your dedication and focus on our young people that is the key to their success. I want to thank you for your commitment to our students and service to our country”.

@Liars/Truth – Can you be positive? This is the start of the Public School year and we should be encouraging and praying that our young people will succeed, teachers and parents will be committed and diligent. We have lots of talented young people in this island and as long as the adults nurture and channel the young people in the right direction Bermuda will be in good stead. The young people are reading the comments as well. Does your comment incite harmony or trust?
