First, Premier Division Weekend Football Results

This past weekend a number of football matches took place in the First Division and Premier Division, with X’Roads, Boulevard Blazers, St. George’s Colts, PHC Zebras, Dandy Town Hornets and Flanagan’s Onion’s all recording wins.

First Division

X’Road’s 2 Young Men Social Club 1

At the Garrison Field, X’Road’s got goals from Damali Bell and Tymon Daniels as they defeated visiting Young Men Social Club 2 – 1, Khari Easton scored the lone goal for the visitors.

Devonshire Colts 2 Boulevard Blazers 3

At the Police Field, Matthew Gerado gave the Devonshire Colts the lead in the 21st minute, but Aaron Williams drew the Boulevard Blazers level with a goal in the 40th minute. Randy Broadbelt gave the Boulevard Blazers the lead in the 58th minute, but Lozendro Symonds equalized for the Devonshire Colts in the 74th. Dun-ya Taylor scored in the 83rd minute what proved to be the winner for the Boulevard Blazers.

St. George’s Colts 5 Paget Lions 0

At the Wellington Oval, the home team St. George’s Colts got two goals from David Signor and single strikes from Ernest Signor, Phillip Anderson and Kodi Carlington as they defeated the Paget Lions 5 – 0.

Premier Division

PHC Zebras 2 Southampton Rangers 1

At the Southampton Oval, Marco Piper gave the PHC Zebras the lead in the 63rd minute, Shakir Smith doubled the PHC Zebras lead with a goal in the 67th minute, Willie Clemons pulled a goal back for the Southampton Rangers in the 73rd minute but they could not find the equalizer as the PHC Zebras picked up their first win of the season.

Wolves 2 Dandy Town Hornets 5

At the Devonshire Rec. the Dandy Town Hornets jumped out to a 3 – 0 half time lead when Angelo Simmons scored in the 6th minute, Damon Ming made to 2 – 0 in the 30th and Tomiko Goater made it 3 – 0 in the 36th, but Wolves staged a comeback when Markez Laws scored in the in the 49th minute and when Vincent Minors scored from the penalty spot in the 61st it made the score 3 – 2, but Jamal Swan restored the Dandy Town Hornets two goal lead when he scored in the 70th minute. Fabian Frankson scored in the dying minutes of the game to make the final score the Dandy Town Hornets 5 Wolves 2.

St. David’s 3 North Village Rams 3

At Lord’s in St. David’s, Keishen Bean gave the North Village rams the lead in the 8th minute, only to have Angelo Cannonier equalize for St. David’s in the 16th minute. Bean once again put the visiting North Village Rams back in front with a strike on the 32nd minute, but five minutes later St. David’s were level again as Detroy Smith scored from the penalty spot after being brought down in the box. Jason Davis put the North Village Rams ahead for the third time of the day scoring in the 60th minute, but for the third time St. David’s found the equalizer as Allan Douglas Jr. scored in the 79th minute as the two teams shared the points.

Hamilton Parish 0 Flanagan’s Onion’s 1

After a scoreless first half at the Wellington Oval, the only goal of this game came in the 52nd minute when Keston Lewis converted from the penalty spot to earn the visiting Flanagan’s Onion’s a 1 – 0 win over Hamilton Parish.
