Police Continue Armed Robbery Investigation

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area of Upland Street and Watlington Road in Devonshire on Friday night [Apr 4] around the time of the attempted armed robbery of Mr. Chicken Express, to contact‎ Central CIU on 2950011.

Police Media Manager Dwayne Caines said, “Police are still investigating an attempted robbery that took place at the Mr. Chicken Express at the junction of Upland Street and Watlington Road in Devonshire, a few minutes after 10pm on Friday night.

“It appears that two males entered the establishment and brandished what appeared to be a firearm and a bladed article and made demands of money. However there attempt was unsuccessful and the two suspects made good their escape.

“Police are appealing to anyone that lives in the area who may have seen two individuals or anyone acting suspiciously, please contact‎ Central CIU on 2950011 or Crimestoppers on 800 8477.”

    So sad. Glad nobody was hurt. Was wondering when the little Beasts was going to attack that establishment. At night that is a lonely road, easy target. Was just waiting to happen.

    To the criminals…you do know that they use big, sharp knives in a restaurant?? Also, you do know that they have very hot oil that they fry with, right?? The next time you may not get away so easily.
