Digicel Now Selling New Samsung Galaxy S5

April 8, 2014

Digicel Bermuda today [Apr 8] announced that the new Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone is now available at both of its retail locations.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 features a 5.1” Full HD Super AMOLED display, a 16 megapixel camera and the latest Android 4.4.2 [KitKat] operating system. The device skins a modern glam, perforated pattern in four vivid colours including charcoal black, shimmery white, electric blue and copper gold.

As part of a smarter Galaxy experience, the Samsung Galaxy S5 has top drawer specs and new features like HD slow motion video, advanced camera options, fingerprint scanner and weather proof which make this the handset to beat in 2014.

In addition to including the Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone in its Refresh device line up, Digicel is also offering new and existing customers the opportunity to receive double data for three months.

As part of Digicel Postpaid Refresh the Samsung Galaxy S5 can be purchased with no money down and only $40 monthly. And, if a customer chooses to add a 1GB data plan to their purchase, they will receive 2GB of data for the first three months.

Digicel Bermuda Commercial Director, Alistair Beak, said, “At Digicel, we understand that having the best smartphone and value for money are important to our customers. Combining the Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone with Digicel Postpaid Refresh – where you pay nothing upfront – and the double data promotion gives customers three great reasons to come to Digicel.”

In celebration of its arrival and Android’s KitKat dubbed operating system, Digicel Samsung Specialists hit the streets of Hamilton today with treats for all – Digicel branded KitKat chocolates. Five lucky recipients will find a “Golden Ticket” under their wrappers and will be invited to compete in a “Digicel S5 Challenge” for the chance to win a new Samsung Galaxy S5 and other prizes.

Mr. Beak added, “Having a team of Samsung Specialists about Hamilton offering live demos allows people to experience the features of this highly anticipated device first hand. The KitKat social media challenge is a fun way to engage Bermuda’s mobile community.”
