Junior Golf: BJGA Glidden Bowl Final Results

The Bermuda Junior Golf Association’s Glidden Bowl Tournament was completed at the Riddell’s Bay Golf Club this afternoon [Apr 11].

All of the winners in their respective age groups led from the first round to the last round of the 54 hole tournament.

Lewis Daley, 17, won the 16 to 18 age group shooting 74 in the final day to combine for a three day total of 217 (75, 68, 74) Evan Watkins finished second in the 16 to 18 division with a three day total of 256 (88, 84, 84)

Brady Cordeiro,13, won the 13 to 15 age group carding a 79 on the final day. His three day total of 232 (78, 75, 79) was 5 strokes better than Alex Mason who shot 76 on the final day applying a bit of pressure on Brady. M

ason shot 36 on the front 9 and was within two strokes of Cordeiro setting up a potential back nine battle. A birdie on the 14th couldn’t have come at a better time for Cordeiro as Mason bogeyed for a two shot swing taking the lead back to 5.

Kenny Leseur,9, won the Red Tee (18 hole) open division with a three round total of 250 (82, 86, 82) Emma Roberts won the girls division shooting 100,93,85 in the 18 hole division.

In the novice 6 hole division, Spencer Young held onto his lead capturing his first title of his career. Spencer shot 36,33,35 for a three day total of 104. Ethan Sousa was the runner up shooting 44, 39, 38) 121
