Video: Racer’s Viewpoint In Grand Prix Stage II
Stage Two of the 2014 Butterfield Grand Prix was held on Saturday morning [Apr 26] with the race route taking riders from Clearwater Beach at Southside to the airport entrance.
One rider, Edmund Robinson, recorded his journey through the course by using a specially fitted camera, complete with superimposed analytics to give viewers an idea of his speed and position.
The video runs for one hour and thirty two minutes, seeing Mr. Robinson through all four laps of the race, including a crash in the 55th minute which did not stop the rider from completing the event.
Mark Hatherley won the Male A Division while Ricky Smith won the Male B Division, Nicole Mitchell took the checkered flag in the Women’s Open race and Christian Oatley won the Junior Male 13-16 Age Group Division. Full results can be found here.
