When asked why she decided to enter the Miss Bermuda pageant, Miss Caines-Bean said, “I decided to enter the Miss Bermuda pageant not only to challenge myself as an individual, but to build new friendships, enhance my leadership skills, and to have the opportunity to represent Bermuda locally and internationally on a larger scale.”

When asked what has been the most enjoyable part of the process so far, Miss Caines-Bean said, “The most enjoyable part of the process so far has been getting to work with such strong, beautiful, intelligent young women like myself.”

When asked if she was nervous or excited to get on stage for the pageant, Miss Caines-Bean said, “The closer it gets to the date, the more butterflies I get. I am a little nervous, but extremely excited, and I can’t wait to get out there on stage and represent for all females.”

When asked who has helped her the most to achieve this success along the way, Miss Caines-Bean said, “My grandmother, Colette Lundy, has helped me achieve success along the way; she is not only a grandmother to me, but also an adviser, mentor, business partner, and critic. With her support and advice, I am able to make good decisions.”

When asked, should she win, what she planned to do with the exposure that being Miss Bermuda will give her, Miss Caines-Bean said, “If titled Miss Bermuda 2014, with the exposure I plan on giving back to the island and showing the world how talented Bermudians truly are.”

When asked, win or lose, what’s next for her after the pageant, Miss Caines-Bean said, “Win or lose, after the pageant I will continue to record music and travel in order to network and create new opportunities. I will also continue to be supportive within the community.”

When asked if there was anything else that she’d like to add, Miss Caines-Bean said, “The kids are our future and it is important that Bermuda remains authentic. One of my favorite quotes, from Oprah Winfrey, is, “Think like a queen. A queen is not afraid to fail. Failure is another stepping stone to greatness.”

The 2014 Miss Bermuda Pageant is scheduled to take place on July 6 at the Fairmont Southampton, where reigning queen Katherine Arnfield will crown her successor. Tickets for the event are available at Pulp & Circumstance at Washington Mall, Fabulous Fashions at Heron Bay Plaza, and online at bdatix.bm.

  5. Bermuda Man says:

Not to sound judgmental to Cami in this interview but I find it funny that when Bermudians are on camera, we try to sound as British as possible when that’s not how we normally talk. Its like we’ve been robbed of our own personality to be unique as Bermudians. When Dj’s play music they try to sound Jamaican, when their on Tv, Radio or stage, talk English. I just dont get why we dont talk like ourselves!

    • Bermudian Woman says:

Would you prefer she talk like a ghetto Bermudian. It’s not talking British; it’s called talking proper. Someone (most likely her parents) invested the time and energy and possibly money on education to ensure that she can articulate her words and thoughts properly.

      Shine Miss. Warwick.

      • ganja mon says:

so your insinuating that Bermudians talk ghetto? Wow

      • Tricks are for Kids says:

Cam does not talk like that in person..so I get what Bermuda Man is saying…..her video was with a “put on” voice…and no, she doesn’t speak like a “ghetto bermudian” (whatever that is)..

    • Father have mercy says:

Bermuda Man, after listening to all of the women thus far I can tell you as a matter of fact that she in no way sounds British. I Live in UK and they so don’t sound like her or her them.

This young lady has got to be the winner, she is the only one that has some level of good diction. She presents herself very well and is also pretty.

I believe with a bit more training to represent on an international level, she will do very well. She needs to be trained by someone that has had exposure to the international level.

    • TEAM CAMI says:

That’s how she talks on a regular its not for the camera.

  6. Bermuda Man says:

Overall good luck this young lady and all the other contestants.

  7. Speaking clear and proper for people to understand is totatlly different from not speaking with an accent, Miss Warwick is doing acceptionally well and it doesn’t sound as if she is speaking british but as if she is speaking proper like she should for a pageant. Stay Beautiful and keep doing what your doing!!!

  8. Double M Four Two's says:

She would be perfect for a ride on my jetski…!!
