Sunday August 30th: “Good News” Spotlight
News that Lorenzo Tucker was selected for the ICC coaching staff, Kevon Fubler won the Cricket Sportsman Award, Carlsen Philip was awarded a $15,000 Digicel scholarship, Dominique Mayho will compete in the UCI World Championships, and Hannah Lampit, Denzel Todd and Elijah Simmons were awarded $10,000 worth of scholarships from Concordia Maritime [Bermuda] Ltd were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
Other good news stories included Taylor Braithwaite and Carlsen Philip II receiving Southampton Parish Educational Awards, Northshore Medical & Aesthetics Center presenting awards to the Miss Bermuda winners, BELCO awarding over $200,000 to students, and Marsh and Guy Carpenter donating to three local charities.
We also posted various community themed photo galleries, including shots of the President’s Cup 100km cycling race, the Back to School fun day, a super-yacht in St George’s, and the new Eateries food court at Washington Mall.
