Police Win Paul Marsden Memorial Game

Bermuda Rugby Football Union action returned with Men’s Division League leaders Police recording a victory against the Mariners in the 10th annual Paul Marsden Memorial Trophy.

Police Constable 2206 Paul Marsden tragically died on the rugby field while playing for the Bermuda Police Rugby Football Club on January 22nd, 2006.

PC Marsden was a well-respected competitor who personified all that is good with the core values of rugby. A fine member of the Police Service and of the Police Rugby Club, and a good friend to many still in service and playing for the team.

The Police scored early and often as they ran out winners 44 – 14. The Renegades Men defeated the Techers, while the Women’s game’s both ended 1-1.
