Philip Correia Wins Silver Medal At World Finals
Following an exceptional performance in Morocco in which he achieved clear rounds during all four days of competition, Bermuda’s Philip Correia has claimed the silver medal at the 2016 FEI World Jumping Finals.
“Philip is the first Bermudian rider to medal in a final competition of a FEI World Jumping Finals,” the Bermuda Equestrian Federation said.
“Riding the 17-year-old chestnut horse Kilt Bessier, Philip achieved clear rounds during all four days of competition.
“In an exciting final jump off, Philip narrowly missed the gold medal which was won by Lebanon’s rider Marek Maitalo who clocked a slightly faster time. Bronze winner was Morocco’s rider Yassine Bennani.
