Court: Two Teenagers Charged With Wounding

February 10, 2017

Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [Feb 10], two 18-year-olds were charged with wounding another teenager in Pembroke earlier this week.

18-year-old Jerome Bailey and 18-year-old Taiquan Davis were together charged with unlawfully wounding another teenager, in Pembroke on 7th February 2017, and doing so with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The charge was deemed to be indictable, and will therefore be tried in the Supreme Court, so neither of the two was required to enter a plea.

Despite the Crown objecting to bail, the Magistrate set bail at $10,000 each; ordered each defendant to provide a surety in a like amount; they appear at Hamilton Police Station every Monday and Thursday; and that neither must have any contact with the complainant.
