Visitors Injured In Two Vehicle Collision In Paget

A 61-year-old American woman and 15-year-old American male were injured in a collision on Sunday in Paget, with the female visitor in stable condition in the ICU, while the teenager sustained a foot injury which did not require hospital treatment.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 12:30pm on Sunday, February 5th police and first responders attended a reported two vehicle collision on South Road in Paget, near the junction with Southcote Road.

“It appears that a car driver and rental cycle rider collided while traveling in opposite directions on South Road.

“The rider, believed to be a 61-year-old American woman and her pillion passenger, believed to be a 15-year-old American boy, were injured.

“At last check the female visitor was in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit, while her pillion passenger apparently sustained a foot injury which did not require hospital treatment.

“No other injuries were reported. However, both vehicles involved were damaged.

“Inquiries continue and any witnesses or persons that were traveling in the South Road, Southcote Road Paget area just prior to 12:30pm Sunday should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
