JetBlue Flight #810 Diverts For Sick Passenger

[Updated] JetBlue flight #810 diverted to the island tonight after a passenger took ill and the pilot made the decision to land in Bermuda to disembark the passenger.

JetBlue 810 Divert Bermuda, April 22 2017-1

The plane was met at the L.F. Wade International Airport main terminal by the Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service and an ambulance. Emergency personnel boarded the flight and transferred the passenger to the awaiting ambulance which then transported her to King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The JetBlue Airbus A320 [twin-jet] was on its way from Las Américas International Airport located in the Dominican Republic to John F Kennedy International [JFK] Airport in New York City.

Update 7.56am: A second JetBlue aircraft flew in at approximately 4.00am with a replacement crew for the original flight. Flight 810 departed with the passengers at about 5.10am.
