Video: Nolan Scores In North Texas Victory

Bermudian footballer Aaliyah Nolan scored for North Texas in the 9th minute as they defeated UT-San Antonio 4-0 in Texas.

The school’s match report said, “The North Texas soccer team secured its 23rd consecutive winning season with a 4-0 win over UT-San Antonio [2-11, 1-5] Sunday afternoon at the Mean Green Soccer Complex.

“Led by junior Lauryn Bruffett’s two goals, the Mean Green [9-2-2, 4-0-1] took a commanding 4-0 lead at the half and never looked back.

“I’m very proud of the way my team played this weekend,” said head coach John Hedlund. “We really seemed to all come together at the right time and play at a high level.

“I’m very proud to continue the winning streak, not only for this team, but for all of the former players and coaches that have now been a part of 23 consecutive winning seasons.”

“Since losing to Texas 1-0 on Aug. 27. The Mean Green have gone now nine consecutive matches without a loss. During this nine-match unbeaten streak, North Texas has shutout five opponents and outscored its opponents 29-6.”
