Pedal Cyclist Hurt In Collision With Car
Emergency services responded to a collision that occurred at the round-a-bout on St. John’s Road and Cemetery Road in Pembroke yesterday [May 12] where a pedal cyclist was injured.
A police spokesperson said, “Around 11:35am Saturday, May 12th police and fellow first responders attended a reported collision in the St. John’s Road, Woodlands Road, Cemetery Road Pembroke area.
“It appears that the collision occurred as a male pedal cyclist riding along St. John’s Road attempted to negotiate the round-a-bout at that location and a car being driven along Cemetery Road also attempted to negotiate the round-a-bout.
“The pedal cyclist, believed to be a 40 year old Pembroke man was injured, transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment and later discharged.
“Inquiries continue and any witnesses that have not already come forward are asked to contact Constable Talitha Simons on the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
