Phillips Claims Jamaica Title In Straight Sets
Daniel Phillips has made it three wins out of three as his unbeaten run on the Caribbean Junior Tennis Circuit was extended while competing in Jamaica in the COTECC Under 14 Tournament.
Making an exceptional showing, the young tennis player followed up his title wins in the TIHTA Aruba 2018 Main Draw Final and the Junkanoo Bowl in the Bahamas by winning the Jamaica Title.
Phillips took on Jamaica’s Under 14 number one seed Keyon’dre Clarke in the Final and defeated him in Straight Sets 6-0, 6-1.
Coach Sam Maybury said, “Daniel played the game with a clinical display of controlled power.”
