Court: 53-Year-Old Man Denies Rape Charge

A 53-year-old man pleaded not guilty to a rape in 1988.
The man, who cannot be named at this stage for legal reasons, allegedly committed the offence sometime between the dates of September 1988 and October 1988. His trial is scheduled to start in February 2019.
His bail conditions remain the same from an earlier court appearance – a $10,000 bail with a like surety on the condition he has no contact with the alleged victim and must report to the Hamilton Police Station on Mondays and Fridays between 6 am and 8 pm.
