Bermuda’s Reggie Lambe will be given the rest of the season off to prepare for the Gold Cup, according to Cambridge News.

Their report said, “Reggie Lambe will be given the rest of the season off to prepare for the Gold Cup, Colin Calderwood confirmed.

“The U’s midfielder was part of the Bermuda side that qualified for the competition for the first time, which takes place between June 15 and July 7 in North America, Costa Rica and Jamaica.

“He joins George Maris and Liam O’Neil as players who will miss the rest of the season, while Jake Doyle-Hayes will again be unavailable for Saturday’s clash with Morecambe – although the Aston Villa loanee should be back for the trip to Macclesfield.

“Reggie, I’ve decided, because of his Gold Cup involvement, we’ll get him away and he can take the break that everyone else gets…before he goes into training camp and then plays throughout the summer,” he said. He won’t be involved in the weekend or the last game.”
