July 18: Emancipation Cup Match’ Awards Event
Heritage Productions will host the 15th Annual Emancipation Cup Match Awards Celebration on Thursday, July 18th 2019, 7:00 pm at the Ocean View Golf Club.
The celebration is an occasion when former Cup Match players and other personalities are awarded for their participation and contribution to the mid- summer Classic.
Past awardees of the ceremony include John Stovell, Calvin “Bummy” Symonds, Junius Durrant, Dennis Wainwright, Eugene ‘Buck’ Woods, Eldon Raynor, Joe Bailey, Lee Raynor, Colin Blades, Clarence Parfitt , Shiraz Ali, Lionel Thomas and Randolph Horton to name a few.
Former Cup Match players due to be honoured this year include Gladwin Edness and Gregory Francis [SCC] and Dexter Smith and the late Glenn Smith- Blakeney [St. Geo. CC]. Stephen Douglas will also be honoured for his outstanding service as an umpire.
