By-Election To Be Held On November 21st

The Governor has issued a Writ of Election for a by-election for Constituency 17 Pembroke Central to be held on Thursday, November 21.

The by-election has been called due to the untimely death of MP Walton Brown.

A Government spokesperson said, “The Parliamentary Registrar is advising that His Excellency the Governor, John Rankin, CMG, has issued a Writ of Election for a by-election to take place in Constituency 17 Pembroke Central on 21st November 2019.

“Nomination Day will be on 7th November 2019 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The polling station is St. Paul AME Church Hall, Pembroke.

“Registration for voters living in Constituency 17 will close on Monday, 28th October at 5:00 p.m. Voters can register online at www.elections.gov.bm or at the Parliamentary Registry Office in Craig Appin house 3rd floor, #8 Wesley Street in the City of Hamilton.”
