Did anyone ever produce that memo that will inform our Senators how much the new maternity/paternity leave benefit will cost employers?

I am not concerned with the insurance and reinsurance companies, I am thinking of the Marketplace, SAL, Gorham’s, Belvin’s,Lindo’s, all the restaurants from St. George to Dockyard and all the hotels.

I believe the Senate should have that financial impact information when they consider the Employment [Maternity Leave Extension and Paternity Leave] Amendment Act 2019.

As I think of it, the estimated impact on the civil service payroll would be nice too.

All of that matters not one whit. This is all about making Bermuda a ‘fairer and more just’ place !
Oh , and maybe picking up more votes along the way as well !
