Bermuda Named ‘Best Weekend Destination’
Bermuda has been named the “Best Weekend Destination in the World” in the 14th annual Leisure Lifestyle Awards by Global Traveler.
The publication said, “Global Traveler conducted a survey of its readers Aug. 1, 2025–Jan. 31, 2026, with open-ended questions for the best in many categories of leisure luxury and lifestyle travel. This survey ran in the magazine, as an insert to subscriber copies, as a direct mail questionnaire, online at globaltravelerusa.com/leisureballot and emailed during the survey period.”
The other countries in top five are Rome, Italy [second]; Paris, France [third]; Dublin, Ireland [fourth]; and Lisbon, Portugal [fifth].

The roads in Rome are not much better than ours.
Bermuda has long been an extended weekenders vacation spot typically arriving on Thursday and departing Sunday or Monday. The attraction is something that the BTA cannot screwup. It is our location only 90 minutes away from huge draw areas.
