Bermuda Scores in Pan American Hockey Champs

Breaking their scoreless streak, the Bermuda U/17 Girls Hockey Team scored a goal in their fourth game at the 2010 Pan American Youth Championships held in Uruguay.

In the 48th minute Katie Masters scored Bermuda’s first goal of the international tournament. One of the more experienced players on the team, she represented the Bermuda U/21 team in Mexico at the 2008 Pan-American Under-21 tournament in Mexico and played with the senior national team at the 2009 Pan-American Cup held in Bermuda.

The Mexican team still dominated, with a 10-1 ending score.

Coaches Lakae Dill and Valerie Young, Manager Juliette Oatley, and Assistant Manager Stephanie Adderley, accompanied the squad to Uruguay.

The team left Bermuda on March 9th and return to Bermuda on March 23rd.
