Conyers Announces Director Promotions

Conyers Dill & Pearman has appointed Jeffrey Elkinson J.P. and Michael Frith as Directors of Conyers Dill & Pearman Limited, reflecting their promotion to partner status.

Jeffrey Elkinson specialises in commercial litigation and arbitration, banking, trusts, insurance/reinsurance, construction, administrative law, telecommunications and energy. Jeffrey sits as an arbitrator and acts as counsel in both local and international arbitration. He is a Member of the Bars of Ireland, England & Wales, Hong Kong, New South Wales, New York, United States Court of International Trade, United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, Bermuda and the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court.

Jeffrey is the chairman of the Bermuda Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Chartered Arbitrator and Mediator, and is the chairman of the Professional Conduct Committee of the Bermuda Bar.

Michael Frith practices all aspects of corporate law, with a focus on insurance/reinsurance regulations and transactions, including new insurance incorporations, private placement equity financing of insurance companies and other financing and transactional work. Michael initially qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales (now non-practicing), and was called to the Bermuda Bar in 2003.

Michael serves as an active officer in the Bermuda Sea Cadet Corps, and is a member of the Award Council for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in Bermuda and a Trustee of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Bermuda Foundation.
