75-Yr-Old Former May 24 Champ Still Missing

Calvin Hansey Sr.The Bermuda Police Service have confirmed that 75-year-old Calvin “Baldy” Hansey Sr. of Pembroke is still missing as of this afternoon [Aug 31]. Mr. Hansey was last seen at his residence four days ago; on Friday, August 27th at around 7pm by a family member.

Mr Hansey is one of Bermuda’s legendary runners, having won the May 24th Marathon Derby four times; in 1969, 1970, 1972 and 1974.

He is described as dark skinned, 5’9” tall of slim build and clean shaven. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue boxer shorts.

Mr. Hansey is known to walk daily in the area of Montpelier Road, Middle Road and North Shore Road, Devonshire, so for any of our readers traveling in those areas please keep a careful watch.

The Police have appealed for the public’s assistance, and have said that it is especially important that Mr Hansey be located, as he is senior citizen in need of medical attention.
