Bermuda International Pool League Wrap-Up

The Bermuda International Pool League is well into the start of the 2010 – 2011 season with this past Thursday being the third week of play. This year they have 80 registered players, composing 11 teams, that represent seven clubs.

The weekly game structure is simple. Two five person teams meet for one game each week that is compromised of 25 matches. Shots are made, shots are missed, but in the end it always comes down to the eight ball.

When a player manages to go undefeated by an opponent the entire game, he gets a perfect score of 50. Thus far, there have been eight such “Perfect Plays”, making the run for the top ten seeds the more exciting to watch week after week.

The public is more than welcome to attend and view firsthand “once-in-a-lifetime-shots” by Bermuda’s best amateurs. Play is Thursdays at 7pm at Bootsie’s, Mariners Club, Queens Club, BPSU, Hamilton Parish WC, Bailey’s Bay CC, or ST. George’s CC. Check club locations for more information.
