Organizers say the year has been considered a great success with 30 of Bermuda’s golf professionals taking part and $39,770 being distributed in prize money, with the find being able to “hopefully aid the younger players in reaching the next step in their PGA Tour dreams.”

The main goal this year was to prepare the local players for the Goslings Invitational. This event had a record 51 professionals with 38 overseas professionals, most of whom have played around the world on the PGA TOUR, European Tour, Canadian Tour and Nationwide Tour.

The Bermudian contingent held their own with 6 players finishing in the top 25. Daniel Augustus (12th), Eric West (13th), Nick Jones (13th), Dwayne Pearman (19th), Scott Roy (24th), and Quinton Sherlock (25th).

Organizers of the Jack Daniels tour said “A very special congratulations must go out to Terrence Daniels, the Bermudian amateur for finishing 4th overall and giving the professionals a real eye opener. It is for young talent like this that the Jack Daniels Tour has been created so if he indeed decides to one day take the next steps to further his golfing career he will have a way and a place to do so.”
