Bermuda, please get your act together with these thugs. They are getting more brazen with their actions. They are checking to see what they can and what they cannot get away with. Please you are a proud and kind people don’t let them these bad apples ruin the little paradise you have. I am not stupid to think that Bermuda is all peaches and cream but it truly was a great place to grow up in and the schools with their uniforms and the teachers were excellent in terms that any student or child got a decent education in tremendous atmospheres where respect for one another reigned supreme. Warwick Secondary class of 1979. I cherish all those years there, also, Southampton Glebe School. Mrs Tucker at Glebe and Randy Horton at Warwick Sec. Wonderful memories. Bye the way I was not a punk or goody two shoes, I am just expressing how it was for me.

Another wasted life! and for what? Get it together Black males, its not that difficult!

      • Justice says:

We need Sharia law in Bermuda. Christianity and our Judeo/Christian culture is getting us no where. Once found guilty they would get a good woop’n. And I mean a really good woop’n.

      • areUserious says:

@ Uncle Ruckus trying to cause a “Ruckus” as usual.. so not surprised by your comment making fun of someone’s appearance(so not necessary by the way!!!)..but I guess with your “six pack” chiseled abs, you can be excused!!!

  4. Terry says:

    Ooooooh you naughty man Ruckus/as.

  5. Brasco says:

Sentence Prediction (if convicted) After Ten Monthly Arraignment Sessions = 2 Years for Robery + 10 Years Firearm = 12….good behavior out in 6…..Might as well just let him go free with the System Bermuda has.

    • Dennis says:

“…good behavior out in 6…” ?? That’s only half! You better go lower than that…

Convicts can be released whether on parole or not after only serving 1/3 of their sentence. So a 12 year sentence = Release after only 4 years!!!!!

Certain crimes should demand that the convict serve the ENTIRE sentence and other cases at least serve between 1/2 and 3/4 of their sentence.

      My 2 cents

  6. Yawn says:

Seems like we have armed robberies every week now

  7. Crazy says:

I personally think that harsher sentences need to be dealt out to these little boys playing wild wild west. I’d be happy to see him a free man in lets say hmmmm another 20 years.

    • White Jesus says:

I’d be happy to see some criminals free NOW……minus one hand!

      • LOL (original) says:

Well don’t look at a three strike and your out policy after all they want to lock us all up………

        LOL

        • LOL (original) says:

Oh and buy the way seen all the white guys in the paper lately?………

          LOL

    • Believer says:

Then their mommy’s will be crying and saying how good boys they are and that the system has done them wrong.

  8. LMJJJ says:

CJ I will keep you in prayer! I worked with his mother for years and he comes from a dam good family! I encourage you all not to judge , because he who is with out sin shall cast the first stone. I hear the silence…………… Exactly that’s what I thought! I don’t condone his alleged actions but attacking him won’t make the situation any better . Peace & love always. 1 love BDA

    • T says:

      Totally agree with you LMJJJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • myopinion says:

We are not talking about casting stones – when people potentially have got a gun!!! They have got bullets – bullets kill. We aren’t judging, we are stating facts. By all means we should pray for criminals but I want them in jail while I’m praying for them. One more gun and thug off the street could mean several lives saved. And yes, I believe in both peace and love, and “1 Love BDA” but if we’re all dead at the hands of these gun carrying thugs, then who is left to love and spread peace? Think about it!

    • JT says:

and while i cast stones criminals are out there casting gunshots.

    • Historian says:

I will judge cause it’s what civilized people do. And I will cast a stone cause I don’t go around assaulting people. And attacking the accused will make the situation better because it will send the message that this type of behaviour is not tolerated.

      • areUserious says:

@ Historian..these problems probably occur because of people such as yourself..you know the ones I’m talking about..the ones with the perfect little home with the perfect little family and the perfect little kids, living in their perfect little world with the attitude that nothing like that will never happen to me looking down your nose on others and hurling insults..NOBODY (and that includes you and me) is perfect and WE ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God!! I so agree with LMJJJ when they state that “he who is with out sin shall cast the first stone”. So before you cast your stone check your family tree and see how many skeletons are in your closet before you go downing some one else!!! Check and see how much Spring Cleaning you have to do!!!

        • Tigga says:

Serious – it’s me again – hope your headache is better. We arent talking about the law of god. We are talking about the law of the land. Many of us sin, but not many of us rob people with guns. As long as I am above ground I will not be judged for my sins but my crimes. Because I (or Historian) dont rob people and terrorize them with a gun does not mean that we are not sinners (if you believe in that kind of thing) or are living in a perfect little world. It means that we choose not to break the law – and as such, we choose to stay out of jail…

          • areUserious says:

@ Tigga yes my headache was fine until you popped up and I’m like not again?? Good for you with your sinful self that you choose to stay out of jail bravo for you! Add judging people to your list of sins while your above ground..the bible also says Judge ye not least you be Judged…Life is about choices you are absolutely right about that…so here’s to you in the hopes that you continue to do the right thing…CHEERS!!!

            • OMG says:

              I totally 2nd this motion!

            • Tigga says:

I too hope I will continue to do the right thing, thank you for your support; also thank you for putting me on notice of my sinful ways. I will strive to be more righteous in the future. Your bible has many interesting phrases – judge not lest ye be judged – in other words – if you judge you will be judged back. Cute – to me that means that if you judge then be prepared to be judged back. I have no problem with that. I prefer Jeremiah 5:21

              • areUserious says:

I’m feeling like I need to call 911 on the grounds that I am being stalked..I would hate to call you a ______r Others have said the same thing that I have ..go bother them..why the emphasis on me??

                • Historian says:

If I ever find myself in court, I hope the jury is populated by sub-intelligent persons like areUserious. I should be able to get away with pretty much anything SO LONG AS it does not affect the family of areUserious…if that’s the case then I’m sure we turn to a different page of the Bible which talks about an eye-for-an-eye.

                  • areUserious says:

@ Historian you know nothing about me!! let’s hope your family stays SAFE and above the Law..and in the meantime you can kiss my (*& talking a bunch of S^&8~ just because I am not in agreement with your comment..Are you serious..your gonna talk out the side of your face..don’t be poking at people that you don’t know..because I take that type of stuff personally..please don’t let my “sub intelligence” as you referred to me fool you..well educated, masters degree, half completed my doctrate, business owner and home owner..If you choose to live your life by belittling people and thinking that that is going to solve the problems of the world than more power to you..I know neither of the parties involved but what I do know is that I was raised not to judge people..you see my mother raised me right…and since we don’t know each other I am going to close out with another bit of advice my mother gave me..”ignore ignorance’ but in the mean time BITE ME!!!

    • OMG says:

      I 2nd this motion too!

You just never know. Anyone can change and it can happen to any family.

My prayers are with Curtis and his family and if you get to see the family, please remind them that they are not alone!

    • Reality says:

I can tell that LMJJJ would like to see criminals get a slap on the wrist so they can be out terrorizing other citizens. I feel no mercy nor sympathy towards criminals and the families that breed these monsters.

    • DARRIN DIZZLE says:

These kids would rather be like their faliure friends than work hard and be productive in society. Criminals needs a harsh punishment now to maybe deter him from a life of crime. If they are out robbing then they must not be working

  9. AWP says:

I haven’t robbed anyone or pointed a gun in anyone’s face, so I’ll judge criminals all I want.

  10. Nelson Majawsbroke says:

Has their ever been a robbery committed in this island by a white citizen ?

    • ¬¬ says:

Many, I’m sure – but I’d imagine it would be insider theft ..and of much more substantial amounts.

  11. THRU AWAY THE KEY WEND YOU LOCK UP CONVICTED CRIMINALS WAKE UP COURTS AND POLICE????

  12. Mr. Jacobs says:

    Hello all,

My name is Anthony Jacobs, father of Curtis Mallory aka CJ. I have read all of the comments here on this blog and to be very honest, I agree with all said to some extent. I was not privileged to this information until very recent. My mother past away in June 2011 during which time I tried very hard to get in touch with my son. I now know why that was not possible and why information was hidden from me. As most parents know the strict and so called mean, hard parent is always the last to find out bad things that a child has done. Starting out Curtis who was named after his grandfather, who was killed at the age of 26 yrs old due to his involvement in drugs and other illegal activities, knew exactly what he was doing and the possible consequences of his actions. I was only 16yrs of age when Curtis was born. It was the scariest and most difficult thing I have ever dealt with in my life. Up until the moment he was born I had made a decision to break the cycle and not have or contribute to the inadequate, uneducated and plain ole worthless men that had come through my family and Curtis’s mother family. Now, I know by saying some of these things I will make some people mad, upset and pissed off but damn it, I don’t care! He is my son flesh of my flesh, blood from my blood. At 16yrs of age I worked not one or two but three jobs at times to take care of him. I was there for him and made a commitment to see that his upraising was proper. When I graduated high school and went to college Curtis and his mother moved to Bermuda. It was not what I wanted but knew that if he was to have a good life this move was necessary. Now, throughout my college years Curtis visited the U.S yearly sometimes several times a year as I did to Bermuda. These visit were not solely because I missed and loved him but also to ensure that he was getting what he needed to be a productive human being and earn his place in this world as a MAN. Please readers don’t miss understand what I am saying. I love my son with all my heart and for all of the negative role models he has in his family there are just as many positive role models. I was a Police Officer for over 6yrs and currently work as a Principal in an alternative school for troubled youth. He does come from a good family! Just as all families there are some individuals that just make very bad decisions. In this case my son made a horrible choice and decision. He was counseled, talked to and taught how to make the correct decision. He was also warned and taught how to stay away from the negative and inappropriate death traps in life. His name alone should have been a consent reminder everyday of what doing the wrong thing will put you in life or should I say, put him. As a parent it is never easy to see your child being reprimanded by anyone other than the parents but right is right and wrong is wrong. Curtis was taught all these things and still he used the one god given right the wrong way, CHOICE! I know some may feel that what I have said here was unnecessary but I don’t! I feel just as at fault because he is my son. I helped bring him into this world. So with that said all involved who may have been hurt, threatened or in fear of my son’s actions, I apologies. I truly hope that my son can and does learn from his mistake as well as return to the community a more adjusted MAN.

“CJ” if you ever read this I now hope that you understand what I was trying to prevent. The last time I saw you, you had made a bad choice and I warned you of what would happen if you continued. No matter how hard this world has made me it softens me to know that you are in this situation. It brings pain to my heart and tears to my eyes as I write this knowing that you are locked behind bars like some animal. You are so much more than what has been portrayed by your actions. As you are a father too, I hope you never have to endure this type of hurt. Please get it together.

    I will always love you,
    DAD
