Bermuda Beat Bahamas by 8 Wickets
Bermuda’s third match of the Pepsi ICC Americas Region Under 19 Americas Division 1 Qualifying Tournament against Bahamas at the Central Broward Regional Park 1 & 2 in Florida has seen them field out first for the first time.
Bermuda won the toss and sent Bahamas to bat, Bahamas was bowled all out for 91. Bahamas opener Julio Jemison was their top scorer with 12, while Joshua Gilbert was the pick of the Bermuda bowlers with figures of 10.-3-18-3, while Lateef Trott bowled 0.4-0-0-2 and Damali Bell had figures of 8-2-14-2.
In reply Bermuda scored 92/2 after 14.3 overs. Kamau Leverock scored 35, Christian Burgess added 21 and William White was on 18 not out when the score was crossed.
The Under/19 Bermuda National Team is now at 2-1 in the Tournament, having already beaten the Cayman Islands and lost to Canada.
