Police Report: 12 DUI Arrests Last Week
The Bermuda Police Service reported that during the week of Monday, January 24th – Monday, January 31st 2011 there were 38 accidents, with 10 resulting in injury.
In addition there were 12 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.
During the same week nine vehicles were reported stolen; 1 each in Hamilton parish, Pembroke, Paget, Devonshire; 2 in Sandy’s and 3 in Warwick.
Most of the vehicles removed were either auxiliary cycles or motorcycles, with 1 car also reported stolen during the period. Of the 9 vehicles reported stolen 3 were subsequently recovered including the car.

Oh great, here we go….3..2..1..cue the clowns who will somehow see this as an argument for the legalisation of weed.
Folks, with so many deaths, the almost murder of the young Mr. Amory but the drunk lady and these arrests, please write to your MPs requesting stiffer punishments and detterants against drunk driving.
I got caught drunk driving two years ago and di my year off the road and paid my thousand dollars… It taught me more then enough never to do that shit again.. making the punishments worse arent going to do anything bermudians get hot no matter what its in our culture.. It will never be stopped.. I know ppl who have been off the road 4 times for drunk driving … they need to put a machine in your car where you have to blow in a breath alizer in order for your car to start and only that one person can be in the car . once the car is started if that person moves off that seat then it cuts out .. and then everyone who is a passenger gets in after and the seats sense this.. to make sure one of the passengers didnt blow for the driver. Problem solved
They also need to teach people the rules of the road and maybe we would have a few less accidents. I just had some ass almost hit me on the crow lane round-a-bout a few minutes ago as he was coming off Harbour Road and didn’t stop and then the idiot behind him yelled at me there were two lanes! Yes there are two lanes but your suppose to stop as I have the right of way except between 7:30-9:30am and it was 1:00pm!!!!!!!!!!!

S you may have a point there, do you think that it’s because you followed your punishment. Todays youth could care less about being off the rode and drive/ride anyway…can bikes have breathalizers?
