April 12: Police To Hold Town Hall Meeting

On Tuesday, April 12th, there will be a Town Hall Meeting held by Western Commanding Officer, Acting Chief Inspector Mark Clarke and members of the Western Division at 7pm at Port Royal Primary School located on Church Road in Southampton.

A Police spokesman said, “Officers will be addressing the western community on what the Service has accomplished during the past six months and the vision for the next six months as well as the objectives of the Western Community Action Team. There will also be an open discussion on concerns raised by the public.”

“In a collaborative effort towards making the community safer the feedback, ideas and attendance of area residents is very important to us. We look forward to seeing as many as possible at this meeting.”

    Here we go again….more talk!!! This is how it goes….person shot and killed…person caught and convicted…sentenced to minimal jail time…hello govt are you listening? Lock these gun criminals away for a minimum of 100 years in jail with no parole no rehab nothing. Send the message that gun crimes will not be tolerated.here is my sentence guidelines….possesion of guns or ammo 30 years….murder by gun 100 years no parole ….accessory to gun murder\s 75-90 years SEND A MESSAGE TO THESE EFFIN COWARDS!!! Come on you lawmakers change these old outdated criminal friendly laws…RIP to all who have lost loved ones to this madness

    WHO do we protest to get changes to sentencing made? Does this require government to pass new legislation? Someone with knowledge please explain the process! So we can understand WHO is responsible for NOT changing the sentencing laws after THREE MURDERS IN THREE MONTHS! Here we have an SDO considered a national emergency???? But three gun murders isn’t a national emergency??? People, PLEASE TAKE OFF YOUR BLINDERS.
