Motorbike & Van Accident: 20-Yr-Old Injured

On Friday morning [Mar.11] a collision involving a motorcycle and a van occurred on North Shore Road, and the 20-year-old rider of the motorcycle was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of injuries not considered to be life threatening.

A Police spokesman said, “Around 8:30am on Friday, Police responded to a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Fractious Street, involving a motorcycle and a van. It appears that both vehicles were traveling along North Shore Road when they collided.”

“The rider of the motorcycle, a 20 year old St. George’s man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. His injuries are not considered life threatening. The driver of the van was not injured. The motorcycle was extensively damaged while the van received moderate damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.”

    These young riders are very careless when they are riding with over taking close to cars or riding close behind you where if u slammed on breaks they wouldnt be able to stop. They need to slow down and realize that you will get hurt. Its better to get somewhere late then to end up dead on the road.
