Police: Verify Unsolicited Phone Calls

March 4, 2011

The Police have issued a warning to residents of phone calls regarding an alleged survey in which the caller claims that they need to come to the individual’s home.

A Police spokesman said, “The Bermuda Police Service is aware of residents receiving phone calls regarding an alleged sustainable energy survey. Apparently the caller claims that they need to come to the individual’s home to look at the property and give advice.”

“We continue to recommend that members of the public receiving these phone calls or similar phone calls ask for the caller’s name, phone number and credentials to verify if the call is genuine.”

“If an unsolicited individual does attend your property, ask for official identification and verify with the appropriate company. If at any time you are unsure about the person’s intentions, do not let them in your home.”

Everyone gets so upset with calls like this. It’s only a trustee of the Brown Group trying to get a number on acreage with regards to what is sustainable and maitainable and available.

Remember what Jane Cuckrane said…….” If the substain don’t maintain you must refrain”.

  3. Bottom Line says:

Any unsolicited person will not get out alive.
