CADA TIPS Training: May 30 – June 3

bar_liquorCADA, Encouraging Responsible Alcohol Behavior, today announced that they will host TIPS training for owners, managers, supervisors, and persons regularly in charge of bars, at on-premise licensed establishments.

This training is being put into place to ensure that all on-premise licensed establishments can become compliant with Section 39B of the Liquor License Act which comes into effect on June 1, 2011.

CADA Chairman, Mr. Anthony Santucci stated, “According to the amended Liquor License Act, as of June 1, 2011, all on-premise licensed establishments must have all their managers, supervisors and persons in charge of bars, TIPS certified. Additionally, there must be a TIPS certified manager or supervisor on duty at all times during operating hours.”

Mr. Santucci continued, “CADA is offering TIPS training every day during the week of May 30 through June 3, between 9:00am and 3:30pm. We are pleased to announce that evening sessions have also been added on May 31 and June 2 between 5:30pm and 11:15pm. We are providing as many opportunities and times possible for people to attend to ensure compliance with the changing law.”

“Every manager, supervisor or anyone else who is regularly in charge of a bar is encouraged to register for one of the sessions. The cost is $50.00 per person. At the end of the training there is a certification exam and all individuals who pass the exam will be TIPS certified for three years.
