Cedarbridge Celebrates 100 Women On Campus
On May 5 Cedarbridge Academy celebrated 100 Women On Campus Day. Principal Mrs. Kalmar Richards explains the day was intended to inspire the young women of the school, and give them the opportunity to meet and interact with professional women from various careers.
The day started with the official opening ceremony which was attended by Minister of Education Dame Jennifer Smith and other invited guests. Activities were held throughout the day including a panel discussion including students and teachers with topics being discussed including lessons learned in life and what advice might you give to others.
Other activities included a lunch time fashion show, a “How Well Do You Know Your Daughter?” game, and career presentations given by professional women. The graduating S4 year level students participated in mock interviews with professionals who did the interviewing, then gave feedback of the students strengths and weaknesses.
