75-Year-Old Man Injured: Fall From Boat
[Updated] Emergency services responded to a report of an industrial accident at approximately 11am today [May 10] at a St. George’s boat slip. According to bystanders, an older gentleman appeared to have fallen off a fishing boat.
We were told that emergency services responded very quick, with both Police and Fire Rescue offering aid to the injured gentleman until the ambulance arrived and transported the man to King Edward Memorial Hospital. .
Update 1:30pm: Police statement:
Around 11am on Tuesday, Police responded to a reported medical emergency at a St. George’s boatyard. It appears that the victim, a 75 year old Hamilton parish man, was cleaning a boat on dry dock when he fell, sustaining a head injury.
The Hamilton parish man was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
