Tyrone Smith Qualifies For 2012 Olympics

Long jumper Tyrone Smith qualified for the 2012 Olympics this evening [June 30]

BTFA President Donna Watson said, “Tyrone has just qualified for World Championships and the Olympics with a leap of 8.16m in the Long Jump.”

“Tyrone was competing at a track meet at Rice University in Texas. We are very excited and proud of him. We knew he would do it especially with the start of his season leaping to 8.09m.”
