Cricketer Apologizes For Facebook Insult

August 7, 2011

cric110514Cricket player Kevon Fubler has offered Somerset Cricket Club’s secretary an apology on Facebook, after insulting her when he was not selected to represent Somerset in this year’s Cup Match Classic.

Mr Fubler posted his apology on Facebook Friday night [Aug.5] saying, “I am writing this letter feeling ashamed of my behavior, I want to apologize for what I said about you on Facebook. That was a terrible thing that I did and you did not deserve to be disrespected like that.”

“Please know that what I wrote was said out of anger and I know that it is in no way truthful. I also want you to know that I am not apologizing just because of the consequences place upon me.”

The Royal Gazette previously reported that, “Somerset Cricket Club have handed Willow Cuts bowler Kevon Fubler a lengthy ban from their ground after he allegedly called club secretary Molly Simons ‘a f***ing wh*re’ on his Facebook page.

“Fubler is said to have made the remarks after not being selected for the Somerset Cup Match side for last week’s Classic at Wellington Oval. News of the disparaging comments filtered back to the West End club, who held an emergency meeting and then slapped Fubler with the lengthy suspension.”
