Police Investigate Reports of Gunshots
[Updated] Police are presently investigating reports of possible gunshots in the St Monica’s Mission/Glebe Road area this afternoon [Sept.1] with reports suggesting the possible gun shots were heard at approximately 2:00pm/2:15pm.
Multiple police officers are on scene at present – at the junction of St Monica’s Mission and Glebe Road. At this time it appears that there have been no injuries, and the police have not cordoned off a specific area indicating they have not found evidence of a shooting at this time. We will update as able.
Update 3pm: The Police presence has decreased in the area. Officers were seen searching the area and speaking to residents .
Update 6:15pm: A Police spokesperson said, “Around 2:20pm on Thursday, September 1st police responded to a report of gunshots in The Glebe Road, Orchard Grove Pembroke area. Officers made a thorough search of the vicinity and spoke with area residents; however, nothing was found to substantiate the report and there were no reported injuries.”
OH NO…praying that it was just a car backfiring and nothing more.
What a charming place Bermuda has become. People don’t even wait for nightime anymore. I sometimes used to go up St Monica’s to church when I was a young white boy. Never a problem. Wouldn’t even drive up there now.
Why is that Say Say Say? Are you getting what you assume is up there in your white safe neighborhood? Some of us need to put our brain in gear before running our mouths.

Who they shooting at the dogs and birds. Most of the 42 guys are dead or locked up. Give the people a break and let them live in peace!

What are the police gonna do—–nothing as usual—what are those cameras for,waste of taxpayers money,but they were used to convict david cox—SMH
cameras cannot catch every crime, they used as a deterrent, and are not a wate of time, because they do help.stop your negativity and be part of the solution

No police statement has been released on this matter? How are us living in this neighborhood suppose to feel safe? Knowing that it was gun shots. We need some kind of answers?
