There is a final veterinarian inspection prior to the final competition with the top 25 riders going through to the final round to be held on Saturday 29th October.
A Bermuda Equestrian Federation spokesperson said that, “This is a great result from both riders competing against some of the top names in the Americas including six time Olympian Ian Millar and number one world ranked rider Eric Lamaze.”
Congratulations to Jillian Terceira (and her Amazing Horse!)
She has only incurred 4 jumping faults in all 3 Qualifying Rounds!
Finishing in the Top 25 – is a FANTASTIC ACCOMPLISHMENT!! (Especially since she just recently gave birth to the ‘Joy of her Life’ – a little boy, so, while trying to train for this event, she has had to spend so much of her time in the past months to being a first time MOM!
She has won the right to compete in the Finals, with the Best Riders in the Games, and, while Patrick hasn’t advanced to the Finals, he has given his best also, and they both should be proud of their efforts, coming from a tiny island, to compete on a level with the Top Equestrians in the world!
I have just retrieved the Finals results, via the internet, which consisted of two rounds A & B, -
and if their reporting is correct, out of the top 25, Jillian finished 12th in Round A, and 8th in Round B! (with a final ranking of 12th in the overall results!)
A Brilliant Finish to dedicated efforts!
Correction: Final ranking of 8th!!!!! Placing Bermuda in a top 10 finish! INCREDIBLE FOR BERMUDA!
