Guilty: Sexual Exploitation & Child Pornography
A 47-year-old man – who cannot be named for legal reasons – pleaded guilty to a number of charges involving sexual exploitation of a young person and child pornography at this morning’s [Nov.1] Supreme Court monthly arraignment session.
He pleaded guilty to five charges involving the sexual exploitation of a young person as well as a number of charges of accessing child pornography.
A Social Inquiry Report was ordered, and he returns for mention on 1st December 2011.

Explain this to me – - – If I were to go out and rob Lindo’s for food, was arrested and locked up for the night, MY NAME WOULD BE LISTED IN THE NEWS THAT EVENING. Additionally, if and when I am convicted, MY NAME WOULD BE LISTED IN THE NEWS THAT DAY/EVENING, WITH A PICTURE.
Bermuda – how can this man ADMIT THAT HE IS GUILTY AND STILL WE, THE PUBLIC, HAVE NO IDEA OF WHO HE IS?! I understand the need to protect the victim, but we, as a community, are still at a loss to the actions of this individual. He is a person who should be monintored and dealt with so we protect all our children.

I agree the public has a right to know who these sex offenders are and we also need a online sex offender registry with addresses of all these predators. I’m sure there are a lot more sex offenders out there than we are aware of.
I think its more important to protect the victim then to expose the criminal just so he/she can be vilified by the public.
Just saying..
Those criminals need to be vilified by all and sundry. Future potential victims would have a better chance of being protected from the perverts by their guardians if they knew who the perverts were or could do research on an on-line registry.

I am with Yng Black Mind….I would rather know who is exploiting our young children than who stole a steak from Market Place because they were hungry….and Geza if you have children, god children, or nieces and nephews and you are comfortable with an UNIDENTIFIED predator in their mist, then more power to you…just saying…..
A convicted sex criminal doesn’t get released after a guilty verdict is reached.
What?? Beg pardon? YES, they do get released eventually… and here in the 3rd world country known as Bermuda, it is up to the victims to stear clear of them and to inform the general public of his whereabouts because our “gover(n)ment” is too busy protecting these criminals’ privacy instead of publishing a registered sex offenders list that would save other potential victims from accidentally walking past his house…
We need a registry – TRUST ME!!! We are walking amongst convicted predators.
They do not stay locked up forever..so eventually they do become someones neighbour……you may not want to know who they are, but I do and if revealing their identity protects another child from being targeted from the pervert than I am all for it…Name and shame……
I found out who this person was and I felt sick to my stomach. Still makes me feel ill to think about it. Unfortunately, if I type his name here, I’m sure Bernews will delete it for legal reasons.
That makes me feel ill too! The public should know who is harming their kids. He will after all be released one day.
It is sickening. There are pedophiles walking amongst us everyday…driving the buses that our children ride home from school on, school personnel, coaches, uncles/aunts… step fathers… It is sickening when you know these perverts personally but until we get a Sex Offenders Registry, we cannot do a dam thing to protect our children! I for one, HATE that I am not armed with this knowledge to protect my child. THAT is what sickens me the most!!

I so agree with Young Black Mind and Tricks are for kids, what the hell, why are they protecting him, give his name, where he lives, for our children are walking amongst these rotten preditors, and it’s not right…..Geza your not well at all, would you feel this way if they targeted your child, Godchild niece or nephew, no i think not……..And hell yes, they do get released, think before you type.

Individuals who SEXUALLY EXPLOIT children DAMAGE the COUNTRY as a WHOLE UNTIL this or any Government in BERMUDA GETS this the CHILD CONTINUES TO REMAIN A VICTIM UNTIL THEY VICTIMISE SOMEONE ESLE SEXUALLY, PHYSICALLY or VERBALLY!!! WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO TO DEMONSTRATE TO OUR GOVERNMENT WE THE PROPLE WANT CHANGE!!!
If anyone is interested in knowing who the convicted is just show up on December 1st and look at the court sessions for that day.
