Accident: Traffic Delays In Paget
[Updated] At approximately 12pm today [Dec.14] there was an accident on Middle Road in which it appears a car collided with a wall, and has resulted in the Police blocking the road.
At approximately 12.55pm a police spokesperson said, “The motoring public is advised that the section of Middle Road in Paget between Manse Road and Cobbs Hill Road is currently closed due to a road traffic collision and diversions are in place as a result. An update on the incident will be given in due course.”
Bernews unofficially understands that the police may have been chasing a car in the area prior to this accident.
Update 3.15pm: A police spokesperson said, “The section of Middle Road in Paget between Manse Road and Cobbs Hill Road has now been re-opened. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing.”

Just hope that no one was seriously injured
There were a lot of police in the area about an hour ago. A lot.
It’s just amazing the damage caused by a little bump at 20mph.
The police chased the driver and passengers to the Cobbs hill area and caught one or two of them the chase started in the City
This couldn’t have been the reason for the 10 Police cars 4 unmarked 3 police bikes flying through Paget just before noon??
Exactly the same ones that almost knocked me off my bike with their excessive speed and poor overtaking without concern for oncoming traffic
High speed pursuits on Middle Road in the middle of the day? Wha? I would like to know what justified putting so many members of the public at risk.
