Football: Shield and Friendship Results

Despite the inclement number of football games took place across the island yesterday [Dec.18], the results follow below:

Sheild:

Ireland Rangers 0 Flanagan’s Onion’s 8

At Malabar, visiting Flanagan’s Onion’s advanced to the next round of the Shield with a 8 – 0 win over Ireland Rangers. Flanagan’s got hat-tricks from Keston Lewis and Peter Robey, while Brian Amaro and Darren Dooling scored a goal each.

Hamilton Parish Win by Default

At the Wellington Oval the match between Hamilton Parish and the Paget Lions was not played as the Paget players arrived too late for the start of the match.

Devonshire Colts 0 Young Men Social Club 3

At Police field, Zieko Lewis scored a hat-trick to guide the Young Men Social Club into the Semi-Finals with a 3 – 0 win over the Devonshire Colts.

Prospect United 1 X’Road’s 2

After a scoreless first half at the Police Field, Kenneth DeSilva gave Prospect united the lead midway through the second half, but then Marvin Belboda came off the X’Road’s bench to score twice as they advanced to the next round of the Shield.

PHC Zebras 2 North Village Rams 4

At the Southampton Oval, Aquino Grant put the PHC Zebras ahead in the 19 minute, however Vernon Tankard equalized for the North Village Rams in the 33rd minute. The visiting North Village Rams went ahead in the 59th minute through an own goal, but Antwan Russell leveled the score at 2 – 2 when he converted from the penalty spot. The North Village Rams went back in front in the 75th minute when Keishen Bean scored and then on minute later Bean made it 4 – 2 for the North Village Rams to advance.

Devonshire Cougars 4 Robin Hood 1

At the Devonshire Rec. Lejaun Simmons put the home team the Devonshire Cougars ahead in the 7th minute, Darius Cox doubled the lead six minutes later, Daniel Andrade pulled a goal back for Robin Hood in the 47th, but Domico Coddington restored the Devonshire Cougars two goal lead in the 55th minute and then Tumaini Steede closed out the scoring for the home team in the 68th minute.

St. George’s Colts 3 St. David’s 6

At the Wellington Oval, Fiqre Crockwell scored a hat-trick to lead visiting St. David’s to a 6 – 3 win over the St. George’s Colts. Otis Minors added two goals for the visitors who also got a strike from Kemo Bean, meanwhile the St. George’s Colts got two goals from Jarreau Hayward and a single strike from Clay Darrell.

Somerset Trojans 2 Dandy Town Hornets 1

At the Somerset Cricket Club, Malachi Jones gave the home team the lead, but Fabian Frankson equalized for the visiting Dandy Town Hornets, the Somerset Trojans winner came when Jahi Simmons converted from the penalty spot.
