Bermuda Aikikai Hosts Guest Instructor

January 19, 2012

Bermuda Aikikai played host to US guest instructor Wendy Palmer, a 6th degree black belt in the martial art of Aikido last night [Jan.18].

She is currently on the island on a retreat and to work on her book entailing Conscious Embodiment. A couple of the Bermuda Aikikai students attended one of her courses and said they were lucky to be able to invite her and have her accept to give what turned out to be a very fun and enlightening class full of energy to both the higher ranked students and new students alike.

A quote by a US Senator states: “Wendy’s effect on people is transformational. She inspires confidence, creativity, and leadership skills.”

Palmer sensei hails from Corte Madera, California where she teaches at Aikido of Tamplpais. Palmer sensei also is the author of two books: The Intuitive Body and The Practice of Freedom, a DVD: Conscious Embodiment, and an audio CD: Recovering Your Center.

She has been teaching classes and workshops in Conscious Embodiment for over 28 years and this is her second time visiting Bermuda.
