Video: Car Crashes, Overturns In Warwick
[Updated] As of 3.30pm this afternoon [Jan.20] traffic is being restricted on Middle Road in Warwick, due to an accident which has resulted in the car being flipped upside down.
Police are presently on scene, and have blocked Middle Road from the entrance of TN Tatem Middle School to Burnt House Hill. Details are limited at this time, however we will update with official information as able.
Update 3.45pm: The section of Middle Road remains blocked at this time, however they have turned the car over, and a tow truck appears to be getting ready to remove it.
Update 4.03pm: The car has been towed away, and Middle Road has been reopened to traffic. Unofficial reports indicate that the driver did not sustain serious injuries.
Update Sunday [Jan.21]: A police spokesperson said, “Around 3:10pm on Friday, January 20th police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle damage only collision on Middle Road in Warwick near the junction with Tamarind Vale.
“It appears that a car was traveling along Middle Road when it collided with a wall and overturned. The driver, a 63 year old Southampton man, was uninjured but the car was extensively damaged. Inquiries into all these incidents are underway.”

Amazing how a car can be flipped at not more than 35k.
Very possible–even at slower velocities. The forces need only be acting in the right direction at the right time and over you go. My mother did it more than 20 years ago and she was traveling less than 20K. Physics is a many splendored thing.

Absolute rubbish. Anyone that tells you they turned a car over at 20mph is a liar. Unless they had a big ramp and wenT off the edge.

Well, you see…the driver tried to run over a frog that was chillin’ down the road by the pond. Long story short…that was a strong frog! Just one hop under the car and KERPLUNK!

Maybe we should have cameras all over Bermuda – that way we can sell this priceless footage for the next James Bond films. I only hope that the driver is ok – the car looks like it did what is only possible in the movies!
