Digicel Network Issues Resolved

Digicel said the network issues experienced by some customers this morning [Jan.9] and up until approximately 1:30pm have now been resolved. Services affected by intermittent access were data and voice calls.

A spokesperson said, “As soon as the issue became apparent, Digicel Bermuda’s technical team worked with urgency to ensure all issue were resolved it in the quickest possible time.”

Digicel would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused and assure its valued customers of its commitment to deliver the best service.

    Thanks you Digicel for resolving this problem. I got at least three calls this morning from users ‘claiming’ to be IT professionals, blaming my Exchange server/BES Server. Not to method the calls from my UK based Bosses.

    I will add, Anthony replied to me email within 5 minutes of my inquiry this morning.

    I am very happy to have the network restored, but I have to question whether for the sake of saving face Digicel can enlighten their customers when there is an issue. They have no problem sending out useless texts about a game, so why cant they do the same when their data network is down.

        Also, they do send out notices when they are aware of a problem, at least to my company.
