    • tricks are for kids says:

I’m with wow!!! BPS you took his stuff, held it for a period of time..it’s his…. give it back….Ya’ll are “grasping at straws” now……

    • Whistling Frog says:

For real! I wouldn’t be surprised if they pay a few their infoments this time to come and make a clam…

    • Lazy Fools says:

Maybe it belongs to a fallen gangsta or someone in Westgate.

This is it in reply to the last three comments, and to the first guy who commented I’m glad you think it’s funny your probably the type of guy that needs to go through what I’ve gone through to understand that ya silly comment is inappropriate and very angering from were I stand. It’s just amazing how much I can prove that those items belong to me but yet I was waved away when trying to show proof, further there are only about 40 items in the box maybe a little bit more then that so why 130 people come in the first place I wonder how many people try to claim on a specific piece because I’ve been told that people are trying to scam there way into my hard earned pot but such is life right, the man doing something with his life is being held accountable on laws that were made to attack the real criminals. And I’d like to lastly note how many more laws have to be put in place that stricten our private rights as citizens before we all come together and say something isn’t right.

No problem bro I’m just frustrated these police they have jerked me enough, I just want to be done with this segment of my life ps what you know about 47th street diamond sistrict Manhattan lol.

  4. Compassion says:

Yes, some of it may be stolen but not by the person they took it from. I PERSONALLY KNOW the young man being charged. I have known him since a young teen when he lived in my neighbourhood on Aubrey Road, Hamilton Parish. He has been into jewellery for years now. He has been jumped for his jewellery before because people KNOW that he buys it cheap from desperate people needing money, takes it abroad, has custom jewellery designed, then sells it here. He has made good money doing so which is why he continued after being jumped – he just used a bank safety deposit box to keep it instead. He was naive to think that just maybe some of it could have been stolen prior to his purchasing it. I mean come on, if he was guilty, why would he put it in a safe deposit box, people steal jewellery and then sell it to buy drugs or things! He is innocent.

  5. Owner4Comment says:

@ Compassion thank you to whom ever you are but I’m sure of those items I actually have spoken to most of whom I’ve purchased these items from and they said they wouldn’t have any problem talking to the police which solidifies the position on those items as not stolen why else would they say they’d speak with police to clear me if they knew it was stolen. Also I have pictures and receipts and when I tried to present them to one of the case officers they didn’t accept my information and said that I could have doctored it up prior to coming which is total crap and now you see three weeks later they’re having another viewing so I’m eager to see if he says the same to those folk that come in tommorow for the first time. And for the record no charge of handling stolen goods has been imposed on me which honestly as crazy as it sounds I don’t care if they do because if thats what it takes for me to be heard then so be it I would make the public see that they’re wasting our hard earned tax payer money on bogus bases.

    • Compassion says:

I know you are innocent. You have been buying and selling jewellery for years. When I see you, I will let you know who I am, although you could probably figure it out. Hold your head high and don’t let people make you think as though you have done anything wrong. The criminals are the ones trying to claim jewellery that doesn’t belong to them and that’s not you.

  6. Think About It says:

I like how this stuff looks like it was paid for with money made from crime, by criminals. BPS just melt the stuff down and add the proceeds to your budget Lol

  7. Owner4Comment says:

@ThinkAboutIt All I’m going to say to you is I hope you never become a police cause I’m sure you’d rub people the wrong way for sure are you serious with your comment?? I’m just going to list you as ignorant.

  8. Owner4Comment says:

Can anyone explain his comment to me in a way in which it makes sense?? How does something look like it’s been paid for from proceeds of crime. Why can’t honest money by the same thing? Further more most of those items came in the state in which you see them in,so next time you comment be smarter with your response or not your choice.

    • wow says:

Think About It …..is obviously one those people that stereotype everything!

    • Think About It says:

And next time you comment, please use spell check first. You don’t ‘by’ things, you ‘buy them. Anyway, to address you dillybops who don’t know what I am trying to say please shut the h%ll up. Any fool with eyes knows that no productive member of society where long ass gold chains with big ass medallions like the two chains you see at the bottom. The one’s in the tissue paper maybe, but the other two I only see on the type of people that sit on walls all day.

      • Think About It says:

Haha, typo. Meant to say “wear”

      • Legal Reasons? says:

        same goes to you.

it is not “member of society where long ass gold chains”, it is “member of society wears long ass gold chains”.

  9. digi says:

Don’t be so obtuse, these purchases have obviously been acquired using the proceeds of crime

  10. Owner4Comment says:

@ Digi you must be just as ignorant as THINK ABOUT IT you two sound good together on a lighter note “Think About It Digi” you see digi comes after think about it meaning he thinks and you agree lol smh @ you to love birds. How is something obviously acquired by the proceeds of crime?? REALLY!!! Im going to just be nice and say your entitled to your opinion and pray for you in the future that your minds may open a little bit more cause right now the door to you twos minds are really closed and the space behind them I’m sure is very tiny as well.

    • Think About It says:

Ugh, your comments are littered with grammatical and spelling errors. It makes me want to vomit. Pleas stop talking, please. You speak exactly like how the people who buy those types of LOUD jewelry

      • Keeping It Real says:

@Think About It…..as I think about it (ie your last comment) I cannot help but sense prejudice, stereotyping, and maybe even racism in your remarks (or at the least some form of class discrimination).

“You speak exactly like how the people who buy those types of LOUD jewelry”?

Please enlighten me, exactly what “people” are you referring to? Is it those who have not mastered the english language to a standard that satisfies you? Is it those who are perhaps black and disadvantaged? Are you seriously going to judge someone that you do not know and have never met based on the linguistic quality of the strokes they make on a computer keyboard? Are you serious?

I wear that type of jewellry. I am an educated black man who has graduated from some of the best schools in the UK. I wear a suit and tie to work everyday. I do not sit on the wall or sell drugs or buy jewellry from the proceeds of crime. You raving imbecile!

Oh! Ok! You know it just hit me……you are upset at those of us who can afford to purchase nice things because you probably cannot…..hmmmm…..hater!!!!

        • Think About It says:

JEEEEESSSSSSUUUUUUUUSSSSSS CHRIST! Are you f*%$ing serious?! Lol.

Show me where and when I said ANYTHING about race. I AM BLACK A$S! All you did with your post is make yourself look stupid by confirming to “whitey” that black men always look for a reason to feel discriminated against. Stop calling the f*%king race card every chance you get. I never said that wall sitters are all black, or even mentioned black men period. YOU did.

“Are you seriously going to judge someone that you do not know and have never met based on the linguistic quality of the strokes they make on a computer keyboard? Are you serious?”- Of course I am. Why the hell shouldn’t I? People type how they speak. It has been proven, and even my friends who read the comments on this site were able to tell it was me posting because I type HOW I SPEAK. And I can tell by how you type that you are more than likely an Uncle Tom, trying to do anything to appease your white (boss)master. You go out of your way to speak intelligently, dress appropriately and do everything he/she asks of you. BUT on your down time you try and be cool to your fellow (slaves) black men out on the street, but we can all see through your b.s.

You wear a suit and tie to work everyday? Who gives a s$#t? You sound like a pompous ass in that whole paragraph.

        • Notorious says:

You sound more idiotic than him! Who said black disadvantaged people are the only ones who haven’t mastered the English language? A grown ass adult should know how to put together words correctly to articulate their opinion. That goes for any race which he said nothing about. You sound like a real pompous ass! When keeping it real goes wrong! Haha.

          • Keeping It Real says:

            @ Think About It and Notorious…Sounds like I touched a nerve…..:)

At the end of the day EVEN IF what you think about me is true (uncle tom, white master, blah blah and all that other disgruntled angry black man stuff you both vomited) that proves that what I said is true….not all people who wear that type of jewelry are wall sitters and drug dealers!

Neither the uncle tom you erroneously postulate me to be or the sycophantic bootlicking white master pleaser are (even by your example) wall sitters or drug dealers. So thank you. In your angry outburst (clearly precipitated by some recognition that I am right about you) you have contradicted your own comment.

Calling me pompous (sticks and stones and all that…) doesn’t change the fact that you are wrong. I am not any of those things. And the people who know who I am and have read your comments are dying laughing. If you only knew who I am….but that’s not important.

Look, we all know that some of the dudes who wear big chains are drug dealers…duh!! But when you say that ALL are and label us all with the same brush you are being too absolute. And you sound ridiculous. And any of your friends who recognize how you type should be honest with you and tell you that you sound like a bitter idiot…if not they are just as bad as the people who tell some of the American Idol contestants that they can sing!!

            • Think About It says:

” And the people who know who I am and have read your comments are dying laughing. If you only knew who I am…”- Wow! You sound like someone who thinks they’re more important then they really are.

Ok, who are you then? If you’re such an important person, why hide behind a pen name?

“At the end of the day EVEN IF what you think about me is true (uncle tom, white master, blah blah and all that other disgruntled angry black man stuff you both vomited) that proves that what I said is true….not all people who wear that type of jewelry are wall sitters and drug dealers!”-
How does anything I said prove that YOU are right? So you’re an educated black man that also wears gaudy gold chains. All that tells me is that you were either a wall sitter at one point in time(I’m not saying they are all black), and you got your shit together, OR you are an oreo, uncle tom, house negro (whichever you prefer) that moonlights as a wall sitter.

Just stop commenting because all you are coming across as is a pompous, self-centered, self-absorbed prick of a human being. I bet you look like Carlton and listen to Tom Jones. You more than likely have a white wife and think that those white guys at work are really your friends. You think that your master, sorry, BOSS actually likes you, when in reality that good ol’ 60/40 rule was why you are employed. It’s ok, I believe you went to a good school, you don’t have to try to impress us, it’s ok. You can say I am bitter or angry or whatever you like. It’s cool, because I know I’m not. Bernews is just how I pass the time during slow periods at the office. I also like letting pricks like you know that no one likes you. Just stop speaking, cause I am tire of laughing

            • Notorious says:

Keepingitreal Touched what nerve? You serious? LMAO! Don’t make me holler! Your first comment wasn’t even to me so what “nerve” did you touch? Are you just writing nonsense just to see yourself write nonsense?

You think I care what some anonymous imbecile writing on bernews says? Because I don’t. Who cares who you are and what the lame people who find you interesting enough to associate with you think? If you aren’t willing to say who you are(as if you’re someone important LMAO) then it negates everything you just wrote anyway. I really don’t give a damn either way.

LMAO at you writing a whole lot but saying absolutely nothing. That’s for the laugh! Like I said when “keeping it real goes wrong” bwahaha!

              • Notorious says:

Oh by the way “keepingitreal”. I know who you are and what you do…and what you’ve done. Problem is bernews won’t print it if I say who you are. I won’t do it anyway. By the way if I was you I wouldn’t boast about how important I am. You’re nothing but a criminal. Always will be :)

What “think about it” claimed you are isn’t far from the truth, in fact it is truth. I bet your clients…*cough*….”friends” who you showed the comments to are just like you i.e. criminals.

        • Politely Pompous says:

@ Keeping It Real: Be for real, ‘Keeping it Real’-what productive member of society walks around wearing jewellery like that? Would you wear something like that to a job interview? NO. Why not? Because you know that decent people don’t wear those kinds of jewels-only hoodlums, thugs and drug dealers do!

‘Keeping’, you are full of it but some of us can see right through you, k? You graduated from the best cellblocks-um, I mean ‘schools’ in the U.K.? Long distance learning doesn’t count! When they have to mail you your diploma, it really isn’t anything to brag about.

Drop us a line the next time you’re in the U.S. Oh, my bad-that pesky stop list is a drag, isn’t it???

    • Notorious says:

I agree with Think About It. No productive member of society wears those big gaudy chains! Drug dealers wear those and everyone knows this. They’re ugly anyway! You should thank the police for taking those hideous things away from you LMAO

  11. bill clinton says:

im got blingers and none of them came from drug sales crime or other wise … i make my change in bermy ….fly off de rock go downtown boston or ny and go jewlery shopping…come back bermy shining….dat it…!!!..if de guys got proof give him his shine…shit d atm took my bank card i went to the bank with id and they gave it back to me……i cant call it …

  12. Not Surprised says:

I’m not commenting to argue or to take sides… However, I will make comment to the presumption that “Any fool with eyes knows that no productive member of society where long ass gold chains with big ass medallions like the two chains…” That is an incorrect statement.

I happen to know a few very productive members of society, when not at work happen to wear something similar or items of their choice on their personal time. That is their style and how they choose to look outside of work…. I’m sorry, but your presumption is narrow minded and incorrect.

I’m tired of people being judged by their appearance. I myself am a very productive member of society and hate when I am judged outside of the work place (when not in work attire) because I have tattoos. In fact, I have to deal with the look of Shock & disgust when those who know me through work see them, followed by comments like “OMG I had no idea!” Productive members of society come in all shapes, sizes, and appearances. PS. I’m neither uneducated, nor speak like “how the people who buy those types of LOUD jewelry”. I’m highly educated and speak very well and hold a pretty good position within my work place. I should not be judge because of an art form that I appreciate. And that applies to all those who don’t conform to what society deems normal….We are like everyone else and choose to different.

    • Owner4Comment says:

Not surprised thank you for that comment you’ve just layed out, it’s so true what you are saying. Anybody who knows me out of my hundreds of friends, family, customers and assosiates knows exactly what I’ve done and currently still do from 5yrs ago on so I’m not worrying about negative feed back from the few fools on here who think that this is funny.

    • Think About It says:

All I am hearing from all of your comments is that you are all fools. You are arguing for arguments sake. Do not lie and say that you aren’t. Police officers don’t wear chains like that, government ministers don’t wear chains like that, the manager of your local bank doesn’t wear chains like that. I don’t care what you say, some things can be stereotyped accurately and this is one of them. I have NEVER seen anyone wearing something gaudy like the two long chains pictured here that weren’t on the “opposite side of the law” and you are stupid if you say you have. That second chains SCREAMS “I’m ballin’, I’m out here stacking paper, f*ck the law!”

When I see the cheif of police or the governor or ANYBODY that doesn’t sit on a wall wearing something like that, then I will change my stance. But chances are, I never will.

      • Not Surprised says:

Sigh….@think about it…I don’t have the energy for your lack of acceptance of someone’s opinion other than yours. You have missed the point I was trying to make… So, I will be the adult and agree to disagree. Like I said I’m not arguing and my intention was not to argue, however, just sharing an opinion. Sorry hun, not taking the bait. And you are 100% right, chances are you never will change your stance, nor look past the four little walls you have surrounded yourself in. And ps. I’m far from Stupid my dear, in fact very inteligent, well travelled and know very many people from all walks of life :) Enjoy your evening.

        • Think About It says:

Yes, very intelligent. You forgot an “L” in one word and added an “L” to another.

Spell check next time Ms. I’m very intelligent

          • Not Surprised says:

Thank you I was aware of that after I hit *submit, and didn’t have time to correct that. Thank you for the compliment. (I know you were being sarcastic) I think I will call myself that from now on. Hello, pleased to meet you… my name? Oh why, I’m Ms. Very Intelligent :-) …hhhmmm yes, I think I like the sound of that. hahaha! :-)

      • ilovejewelry says:

@Think About it… PLEASE JUST BE QUIET

You are offending many people to our society. I own pieces of jewelry that are like these and I am in no way affiliated with any sort of drugs. Neither do I have a whole bunch of money. But jewelry is something that I like. The same way people spend hundreds of $$$ on things like a collection of knives, or coins, well people like to have a collection of jewelry.

We all have different styles to suit us and you should not be ridiculous and judge people by what they are into. A lot of drug dealers own sporty cars with squeaky clean rims too. Are you going to judge and say that everyone with a sporty car all hooked up is trying to say they “ballin”?!

Like I said. People are into different things.

        • Owner4Comment says:

I’d love to get him in a ring in front of a crowd and see if he makes the same noise he does one here he’s so disgustingly offensive.

          • Think About It says:

So basically you are confirming what I am saying. You assume that if I am in front of a crowd of the “type of people” that wear this chains and said the same thing that I would be what? Assaulted?

You’re right, I more than likely would be. Because the type of people who wear what looks like a 30-40 inch chain and 10 inch medallion would lack the rationale to realize that words are just words. Their skin is paper thin, and all they want to do is fight or shoot first, ask questions later.

Oh, and I know who you are Owner4Comment. I know that your legit. I was just merely making a point that only a certain type of person wears jewelry like that.

            • ThaPissedOffOwnerOfTheGoodz says:

So if you know who I am then you’d know I’m not a thug gun toting idiot, you’d know that I’m a cool laid back person that has much respect for others so why come on here and be idiotic about the whole thing???

          • Notorious says:

LOL! Owner4Comment That last comment was ignorant! Thanks for proving think about it’s point! You may not be a drug dealer but you have the same ignorant mentality as they do! Good luck with your gaudy jewelry.

            • Owner4Comment says:

I’m not ignorant I’m just frustrated, when your in a frustrated mood you tend to just blurt things out, I’m not a person who goes around and fights etc, if you know me then you know that’s not me but I really don’t appreciate some of his comments I think some of them are a bit offensive.

    • Think About It says:

Also, I forgot to address your tattoo comment. Tattoos are art, these chains are not art, they are a status symbol. They show everyone how much money you are making it the (drug) game. So please don’t use the art argument, because it is weak at best.

      • Not Surprised says:

Wasn’t arguing, just trying share and get am opinion/point across based on a statement made by you (in order to illumnitate)…In your blind fury , I think you missed it…

        • Not Surprised says:

typos SB *trying to share and get an….

          • Owner4Comment says:

Mam I believe that is exactly what he is approaching this with “Blind Furry!” because if you he/she or anyone knew me they’d know that I’m legit and take care of my customers, my character is one of understanding and respect for others business or private matters, once again thank you not for agreeing with me but 4 making a very strong opinion that I hope will open up a few others minds sets.

  13. 1DER says:

im glad they are doing the veiwing again my mom and some of my friends had some jewlery stolen and didnt have a chance to go the first time

  14. digi says:

@ owner, just saying i do not know to many librarians or accountants with bling like that. it might be my ignorance in this world but i think aunt gene, stevie and ray could see that product come from lucrative product: illegal, illicit or “legit”

  15. Action says:

The comment made regarding grammatical errors and spelling errors is irrelevant to the issue. His level of education is also not the issue. This man is being charged for possession of stollen goods that is the issue. Bermudians are very judgmental and this blinds them from the facts. The man has a paper trail to proof the goods were obtained legally. If the BPS would have been willing to collect these documents before the charges were placed then this whole case would have been thrown out of court. BUT, There is the issue of were the goods stolen in the past and may have been on the street sold time and time again from person to person. Should this Man be prosecuted for receiving goods that have been stolen and resold 4 times over, him being the next victim thinking the goods he is buying are legit? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Anyone can claim that the goods they are selling were bought legitimately by them. When you purchase items on e-moo how do you know if they are stolen or not? his also goes for not only jewelry but, furniture, tvs, bike parts etc. Some of those items are custom made pieces meaning for anyone who does not know is scrap gold melted down by a local or overseas jeweler to make a custom piece of jewelry. So when you go to the jeweler with your “scrap gold” hey maybe its ……”stollen gold”….. does the jeweler need proof where you got it from….of course he doesn’t nor does he care. There is no need to elaborate anymore on this take from it what you wish. In the end unless someone has concrete proof one of the items is theres then give this man his goods back.

  16. digi says:

@ think i happen to think your original comment was very funny. Kudos. melt it down and add it to the budget please!

  17. Owner4Comment says:

Think About It I see your mind is still closed. Would you call an nba player of football player a drug dealer for wearing articles of jewelry such as these? jewelry is another way of expressing ones self also you and everyone who agrees with you are missing the point I don’t wear all of that jewelry I buy it in it’s state and do with it what I wish after I buy it. All I am is a cash4gold business that doesn’t have a store front and I’ve been doing this before cash4gold so are you going to continue your ranting and raving about drug dealer this drug dealer that??? BECAUSE U SOUND STUPID!!!!

    • Notorious says:

Do we have NBA players or football players in Bermuda? NO! They have million dollar contracts and wear chains they paid for with LEGAL money and not all of them wear big chains. We are talking about in Bermuda! Those hideous chains are typical of thug wannabe gang bangers and drug dealers.

You may not have stolen this or be a drug dealer but if you are buying and selling jewelry from random people they may have stolen it from someone else. Sue them if it’s rightfully yours and they aren’t releasing it to you.

      • Owner4Comment says:

Notorious I was making a point for 1, and the k pendant and chain is my personal piece and I’m telling you right now I’m no wanna be thug etc. If you knew me you would understand, I started seling gummy worms and candy in primary and middle school and graduated after Cedar Bridge to jewelry and since still sell that as well as buy and sell gold as well as sell clothing, shades etc I’m a young man with entrepreneural skills putting them to use the right way and I’m just tired of unwanted harsh opinions from others as well as the judgement. The media really makes thing out to be worse then they are there are always two parts and sad but so not only with my situation but with others as well u rarely get to hear that otherside therefore leaving you to only judge on what you read here.

        • Notorious says:

I know you were making a point but it was a horrible point. I’m just saying. I was just pointing that out to you. You can’t compare actual ballers who have $50 million dollar contracts to fools in Bermuda who sell drugs solely to have some tacky gold chain. That’s why people stereotype because certain people in society wear certain things. Wrong-yes but like think about it said you won’t see no police officer or lawyer or anyone like that wearing those.

I understand and I know who you are which is why I said take legal action against them. You might be able to cop some more pieces after that. Consider it.

  18. bermudian says:

It is amazing how people can comment on such topics as this one and try and make statements to where they want someone to come back for an argument. if the person “owner 4 comment” has the proper legal papers to say that, that is his gold. i do not see why there is an issue of not releasing it to him. and further more the people who are commenting for arguments sake. that is completely childish and immature, come one grow up..

@ “owner 4 comment” I hope you end up getting your gold back and everything goes good for you.

    • Owner4Comment says:

Thank you @ Bermudian and your absolutely correct about people being childish and yes I have prood via receipts, pictures, and actual people that have no problem talking to the police on my behalf to confirm I got from them these items in question.

@ Owner4comment, not a problem. i think that is the main reason there, that people are so quick to judge and be stereotypical about other people, also so quick to pick out the negative in people and state negative comments, but maybe would not even point out the good in a situation. It is very sad what you can learn by observing the comments people make on a situation.

A drug dealer can not go to the bank and deposit more than x amount of dollars without declaring the source of his income. Huge chains seem like a good investment if you are the drug dealing type. What I can’t wrap my head around is why someone would willingly buy them with a legitimate income. Just seems to produce a negative image to the observer or an invitation to get robbed. I might regret saying that if the dollar crashes and I have no gold investments but for the time being I prefer to spend my money on practical things and save for my future. But if you are your own boss and making money to get by with these activities you have my respect even though I would likely never be a customer of yours. Good luck with your situation I hope it is resolved.

Thanks but I don’t wear all of that jewelry very rarely did I even wear my chain when it was in my possesion but I not only buy and sell gold I sell clothing, shades and I’m not going to say what my new product of choice to sell will be until it’s confirmed but nonetheless I sell many things for almost all demographics and if your interested in something I’ll do my research to find you the best prices for it.

Last point im gona make. if i (an honest hardworking person) owned the stuff and i didnt have any warrants lol. I would have been calling every day to see if the police had found it. and if i found out they had it i would have been to view and/or collect my posessions with a picture of me wearing it or the receipts cuz i would have kept the receipts when spending on such expensive stuff gotta keep the accounts right. sayin…
