Fairmont Hosts Busy Bee Braillers

February 2, 2012

The Fairmont Southampton recently hosted students from the Busy Bees Braillers Programme; an initiative geared towards teaching visually impaired children how to read Braille.

During the tour conducted by The Fairmont Southampton’s Director of Learning Greg Meszoly, the students had the opportunity to learn about the various operations at the “Heart of the House,” including the kitchen, the pastry shop and the laundry.

The students also met many of the men and women that help The Fairmont Southampton to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for their guests. The Busy Bee Braillers also practiced their Braille by reading the various signs throughout the hotel identifying the different rooms, restaurants and offices around the resort.
