Firefighters Respond To Pembroke Home

A woman was treated in hospital after suffering from smoke inhalation this morning [Feb.14]. At approximately 11am, firefighters responded to a structural fire at a house in the Fenton’s Drive area in Pembroke, located off Parsons Road.

Bermuda Fire Service spokesperson Lt. Wenda Roberts said they responded with three vehicles and eight personnel. “The first arriving vehicle found the two story dwelling well involved with fire, the lower apartment,” said Lt. Roberts.

Lt. Roberts continued: “Two firefighters in breathing apparatus quickly extinguished the flames, however one female was treated on scene by Fire Service EMTs for what is believed to be smoke inhalation, and was later transferred to KEMH for further treatment. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time, however is being thoroughly investigated.”
